RESTAURANTS
Main Street just got a little sweeter

Buda Ice Cream Shoppe is now fully open on Main Street, bringing an old-school ice cream stop right into the heart of downtown. The shop serves classic flavors like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream, cookie dough, mint chip, salted caramel, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, plus a few house specials like Adaline’s Birthday, Cookie Monster Max, Kids Tooth Dream, and Buda After Dark.
They’re also making homemade waffle cones, including regular, chocolate-dipped, and sprinkle cones, which feels like exactly the kind of thing Main Street needed. The shop is owned by the Otto family, who many local parents may already know from Kids Tooth Team Pediatric Dentistry. I stopped by recently and the line was spilling out onto the Main Street sidewalk, which is usually a pretty good sign. It’s a sweet new addition to downtown Buda, and a great excuse to make an evening out of dinner, a walk, and a scoop.

⭐ Eric’s Pick: the sprinkle cone with cookie dough was delish.
WHAT’S HAPPENING
The Wizard of Oz Comes to the Buda Amphitheater

Buda’s annual Summer Musical is back on the Great Lawn, and this year’s show is The Wizard of Oz. The free, family-friendly production opens Friday, July 11 at 8 PM, with additional shows on July 12, 17–19, and 24–26.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket, pack some snacks, and make an evening of it under the lights at Buda Amphitheater. It’s one of those easy summer outings that feels made for the whole neighborhood.

NEW & NOTEWORTHY
Lola House Collective Opens in Buda

Lola House Collective recently launched in Buda, bringing a new one-stop beauty and self-care space to 1155 FM 1626. Founded by Addy and Jordan, Lola House was built as more than a salon — it’s a beauty collective where independent artists can work side by side under one roof, with community at the center of it all. They’re open every day from 10 AM to 6 PM.
The collective includes Jordan of Tell Me I’m Pretty Nail Co. for nails and permanent jewelry, Addy for men’s hair and grooming, Jenna and Tatum of Frankie & June Hair Salon for cuts, color, highlights, balayage, and extensions, Bri of The Girl’s Room Skin Club for facials and skin treatments, Haley of HALES for haircuts, fades, beard trims, waxing, and mini facials, and Charlee of Hex & Glow Esthetics for brows, lashes, waxing, and facials.
It’s a thoughtful new addition for Buda — part salon, part self-care stop, and part small business hub — with plans to support local makers through vendor markets, pop-ups, and shelf space inside Lola House.
