THIS WEEK IN BUDA
Good morning Buda. Summer is underway, and so is the road construction. Whether you’re planning around detours, heading to the river to cool off, or looking for a new local spot to try, we’ve got a few things worth knowing about this week.
In this week’s Buda Gazette:
A hidden gem for tacos, tortas, burritos, and Mexican comfort food
A new hangout for tennis, pickleball, fitness classes, and family fun
A new ice cream shop bringing homemade waffle cones to Main Street
Let’s dive in.

Hidden Gem: Susy’s Tacos

Susy’s Tacos is one of those tucked-away Buda spots that feels like a true local find. What started as just a food truck, Susy’s has become much more and is one of my favorite gems in Buda. It has the charm of a roadside taco truck, but with an indoor sit-down space that works for breakfast, lunch, or a relaxed family bite.
The menu leans into classic Mexican comfort food: tacos, tortas, quesadillas, burritos, and hearty plates that hit the spot when you want something authentic and made fresh. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast tacos or looking for a new go-to lunch place, Susy’s is worth keeping on your local food list.
